Mrs. Margaret Brisset-Bolt is one of Jamaica’s most outstanding educators and professionals. Mrs. Brisset-Bolt pioneered the “Change from Within Programme” initiated by the late Sir Phillip Sherlock and was instrumental in turning around the academic performance of the St. Peter Claver School. Students, faculty, parents and the community experienced the successful effects of her transformational leadership.


Mr. Orrett Rhoden, a former child prodigy and internationally acclaimed Jamaican concert pianist. Mrs. Rhoden has performed classical piano recitals in Europe and North America to delighted audience and widespread acclaim he recently performed at Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Centre in Washington to standing ovations.


Dr. Paula Tennant is a botanist, and contemporary scientist, who became the first person in the Caribbean to develop a bio-engineered product, a transgenic strain of papaya. She has also developed a new strain of the fruit with excellent commercial properties, thereby making significant contributions to Jamaica’s agricultural progress. The application of her scientific methods has helped to protect and improve the cultivation of paw-paw, which has become one of Jamaica’s main crops, with exports exceeding US $6 million each year.
